SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAM

We are the prevention and intervention agency in Jasper County, IA, for children and families.  We, like you, are concerned about the safety of children.  We are able, through grants and donations, to offer sexual abuse prevention education to schools in Jasper County, IA, at no charge to them.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Our objectives are to teach young children what abuse is, what they can do to resist it, and what to do if it occurs.  The programs are presented in an age-appropriate, non-threatening manner:

CURRICULUM

●          Preschool & Kindergarten:  Happy Bear Play and discussion - 25 minutes            

●          First Grade:  "Too Smart for Strangers" video and discussion - 30 minutes            

●          Third Grade:  "Now I Can Tell My Secret" video and discussion - 30 minutes       

●          Fifth Grade:  "Yes, You Can Say 'No'" video and discussion - 45 minutes
