Parents As Teachers can help you lay a strong foundation for your child’s future success in school. Parents as Teachers provides a free and voluntary early learning program for parents with children from birth to six-years-old. Its purpose is to help parents lay a strong foundation for their child's future success in school. PAT participants receive the following services: - Personalized visits by a certified parent educator who is specially trained in early childhood development.
- Information is provided on what to look for as your child develops, constructive play, and more.
- Group meetings with other parents to share parenting experience, gain insights, and talk about topics that interest you.
- Periodic screening to ensure that your child has no undetected learning, sensory, or developmental problems.
- Access to a network of resources that can help you locate special services that are beyond the scope of PAT.
